How the intelligence is built

A transparent review system designed to turn primary-source disclosures into comparable investor context.

01

Source hierarchy

Issuer news releases, regulatory filings and corporate materials are preferred. Each verified claim links to its source and date.

02

Facts, interpretation and unknowns

Sourced facts are kept separate from investor context. Unknowns remain visible rather than being estimated.

03

Corrections and timing

No precise date is inferred from broad guidance. Issuers and readers can submit corrections through the issuer inquiry form.

The field note

Get the mining changes that matter — active drilling, assays, financings and catalysts.

Source-linked updates and investor context. No market hype.

Activity Index

Objective activity signals — not an investment score

The Activity Index counts how many of the following factual signals are present in a profile’s reviewed, source-linked data. It is capped at 5. It does not measure quality, attractiveness, value or expected return, and profiles still under source review receive no signals.

  1. Reviewed disclosure in last 30 days
  2. Active drilling disclosed
  3. Assays stated pending
  4. Program progress disclosed
  5. Reviewed financing in last 90 days
  6. Issuer-stated upcoming catalyst

MineMap Change Cards

Each approved change separates fact (what happened, what changed vs the prior reviewed disclosure) from context (neutral operational meaning). “Next information event” appears only when it follows directly from the disclosed sequence — for example, assays stated pending. Cards never predict share prices or recommend buying or selling; such language is blocked in our editor tools.

Assay queue & program progress

Assay waits count days from the date of the source stating results are pending, and close automatically when a later reviewed source reports results. Program progress is plain arithmetic on disclosed planned and completed metres, shown only when both are disclosed in comparable units.

Government dataset vs MineMap reviewed

Natural Resources Canada open-data records (Open Government Licence – Canada) are shown as published for Canada-wide discovery. They are never presented as MineMap-reviewed and are counted separately in every summary.
